Delivery Parameters

At this time we are able to offer flower delivery twice per week on Saturday and Sunday.  We pick up our product from local farms each Friday to insure that our customers receive the freshest, longest lasting blooms available.  In order to accommodate this schedule, we ask that you please place your orders for the upcoming weekend by Thursday evening. 

We will always call a recipient before their delivery leaves the studio to confirm that they will be available to accept their florals, or to secure a safe location where we can leave the arrangement for the limited period of time that the recipient is out.  We will never leave flowers outside in extreme heat or cold for any period of time as this will kill or severely reduce the longevity of the flowers.  If the recipient is not available to accept their delivery on the requested day, we will arrange an alternate delivery time with them directly.  

If due to extenuating circumstances, you require a delivery on an alternate day of the week please email us at kitandsyljewelry@gmail.com with as much notice as possible, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Flower Availability

The mission behind Kit+Syl Floral Studio is to support small, local growers through our love of floral design.  All arrangements made in our studio will contain seasonal blooms from flower farmers growing in New York and Vermont.  We eagerly accept the challenge to design within this limited palette.  In addition, we vow to run our studio floral-waste-free!  No beautiful blooms are going to be composted on our watch.  Each week that we buy in product, excess flowers will be arranged and delivered to brighten the days of the essential workers that deserve far more than our thanks!  Taking all that into consideration, we are happy to hear your custom requests regarding color and flower type, and we will do our best to fill them, but please keep in mind that we are limited by the season and availability provided by our local farmers.

Flower Care

Since we are sourcing all of our florals directly from local flower farmers you can be sure that you will be sending and receiving blooms as fresh as the market allows.  That being said we want you to get the most time as possible out of these ephemeral gifts.  Here are some tips and tricks that we recommend for extending the life of your florals:

• If you receive a wrapped bouquet give each stem a fresh cut right before placing them into a fresh vase of water.

• Whenever possible cut stems at a sharp angle.  This increases the surface area of the opening, and makes it easier for the flowers to drink.

• Flowers should never be exposed to extreme temperatures.  They will die if exposed to temperatures below freezing, and extreme heat will negatively affect their longevity.

• Avoid placing your flowers in direct sunlight.  This will cause them to bloom fully at a quicker pace, so they may not last as long.

• If possible change the water in your vase every day or every other day, and give each stem a fresh cut.  This is the best way to keep them looking their most vibrant for the longest length of time.

• The flowers in your arrangement will most likely die at different rates, so each day sort out the ones that have faded, and keep enjoying those that are still looking lovely.  Even better some elements may dry.  Consider keeping these stems for everlasting decor around your home.
